We are very happy to announce that all the COVID 19 tests of our staff and contacts of our Doctor are negative. In the last few days the hospital has undergone a deep clean and therefore we will be fully reopening today, Sunday 12th April. The fact that no one tested positive is proof that the measures we have put in place are working to keep our staff and patients safe. We will remain vigilant and constantly improving. In this regard we will be asking all people coming to our facilities to wear masks. Either bring your own, or use a mask available at the entrance of all our facilities which you must put in the bin provided on leaving. Masks can also be purchased at cost from all our receptions. We again would like to thank all our doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, cleaners and support staff for their bravery, dedication, sacrifice and professionalism. Our thoughts are with our doctor who is having a tough time but is fighting the virus and is stable.
One of our doctors at the Mbabane Clinic Private hospital tested positive for COVID 19. The doctor developed a fever on Monday and was immediately tested and sent home. His test was received on Wednesday and was positive. The whole of last week he was wearing a face mask and at no time had a cough. Therefore it's very unlikely he transmitted the virus to anyone. However to be extra cautious we have partially closed the hospital for the Easter weekend and tested all the staff and we have been in contact with all the patients he saw the five days before the test was taken, and we are in the process of a deep clean. The hospital is open for outpatients and emergencies. We want to take this opportunity to thank our brave doctors, nurses and auxiliary staff of the Clinic Group who are on the frontline. We also like to extend our appreciation to all Healthcare providers in Eswatini thank you for your dedication and professionalism in these uncertain times. The whole nation is behind you. The test results for all the staff will be available by Friday or Saturday and we plan to be fully functional by Tuesday
